The Netherlands: IHC, Jumbo, Van Oord Speak at Offshore Energy 2011 Conference

Offshore Energy again attracts leading companies to its two-day conference. IHC, Jumbo and Van Oord are among the confirmed speakers at Offshore Energy, Shell, GdF Suez and Chevron are invited. Conference delegates can choose from a wide range of separately bookable half-day conferences and brief topical sessions. This year the program covers themes like deepwater gas, safety in offshore drilling, decommissioning and outlooks on oil, gas and renewable energy.

The two-day conference program of Offshore Energy on 11 and 12 October at the Amsterdam RAI will run parallel to the Offshore Energy Exhibition, the leading, international offshore event in the Netherlands. On the first conference day, offshore professionals can attend the Global Energy Outlook Conference, the Deepwater Gas Conference or topical sessions on Offshore Wind, Marine Spatial Planning or Heavy Lift. In the afternoon a meeting of the NOGEPA/IRO Drilling & Wells Cluster will take place, which can be attended free of charge.

On Wednesday 12 October, the Upstream Innovation Conference and topical sessions on Wave & Tidal Energy, Deep Sea Mining and Unconventional Gas are programmed. The afternoon offers a seminar on Decommissioning, which is organized in cooperation with IRO and Decom North Sea and can also be attended free of charge.

In 2010 more than 230 offshore professionals attended the Offshore Energy conference, which included contributions from Petrobas, Tullow Oil, NAM, Fugro, Heerema, SBM and Siemens. This year the number of delegates for the conferences, topical sessions and side events is expected to double. As the program is built up in blocks of half a day and brief sessions, delegates can easily combine their participation in the conference with visiting the exhibition. The exhibition is conveniently located in the adjoining 8,000 sq. m. hall.
