Falmouth Harbour Completes Bed Levelling

Falmouth Harbour Commissioners has completed work to level the bed in the east corner of Custom House basin this week.

The work took place at low water on Tuesday and was carried out by the Padstow Harbour Commissioners’ dredging vessel Mannin, which used a grab to level out the bottom of the muddy basin.

Several boat owners were asked to move their vessels and there was restricted access to the basin before and during the work.

Harbour Master Mark Sansom said: “We were able to take advantage of the visit of the Mannin to the port to achieve this minor adjustment to the bed level in an efficient and cost effective way”.
