Australia: Swansea Channel is Still Choked, Say Boaties

Boaties in Lake Macquarie have stated that the Swansea Channel is still choked even though the NSW government has spent $300,000 on dredging activities, reports The Star.

There are even claims that the channel’s depth is worse than it was before the government commenced dredging in December thus the boaties call for a long-term solution.

Swansea state MP Garry Edwards said he is working with the council on a long-term plan.
