Brazil: Port of Sao Sebastiao on Expansion Track

The Port of São Sebastião is planning a $1.34 billion expansion project to triple its size, BNamericas reports.

The port said it has requested funding from the government and plans to turn itself into a regional port.

It added that if the port gets government funding, it will start expansion works including the construction of six berths for large vessels and expanding berthing areas to increase draft.

The project will also include the construction of seven to nine berths for smaller vessels.
