The Martin County Engineering Department announced that dredging of the St. Lucie Inlet is complete.
Approximately 470,000 cubic yards of sand has been removed from the waterway.
The hydraulic dredge Charleston left Martin County Friday. The project was complete well before the start of turtle nesting season.
