Canada: Meaford Harbour Ready for Dredging

Meaford Harbour is filling with silt and causing problems for boaters.

Those issue was brought to light at a MON council meeting.

Supervisor of Recreational Facilities says that they will need to dredge Meaford Harbour soon, the municipality could seek federal funding to defray the cost.

Meaford representative on the conservation authority board, said the silting problem up river is well known and the harbour can’t be solved in isolation.
