USA: Army Corps Prepares Wilmington Harbor Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District, has unveiled plans for the maintenance dredging of the Wilmington Harbor.

The work includes maintenance dredging of the Wilmington Harbor Baldhead Shoal Channel and Morehead City Harbor.

This dredging project shall be performed by a hopper dredge.

The Government furnished disposal areas are the Wilmington Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site and the Morehead City Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site.

The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The value of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
