USA: Army Corps to Review Indiana Harbor Dredging Project

A public meeting that will provide information about upcoming dredging at Indiana Harbor is planned for Thursday in East Chicago.

According to nwitimes.com, the meeting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduled to run from 6 to 8 p.m. on the second floor of East Chicago City Hall, 4525 Indianapolis Blvd.

Army Corps stated that Indiana Harbor has not been dredged since 1972 because of contaminated sediments and a lack of suitable storage for them.
