The Tender Board has awarded a RO14.5mn contract for the construction of the Taqah fishing harbour.
Zawya.com reports that the STFA, a large Turkish engineering and contracting company, has won the project.
The Taqah harbour work broadly consists of construction of a 150m-long concrete quay line, construction of 1,783m breakwater, reclamation works, roads and pavements, dredging of harbour basin to 5m depth, marina facility and slipway.
