The Government of Uruguay is receiving requests from many parties interested in participating in a Data Room for the construction and operation of a deepwater port in the Department of Rocha.
The project will be developed incorporating private-sector participation under Uruguay’s new PPP rules (Law 18.786 dated 7/19/2011).
It calls for the design, construction, operation and financing of the port.
According to portstrategy.com, about forty companies from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, Spain, USA, France, Greece, Holland, Italy, Uruguay and Venezuela have indicated an interest in participating in the construction of the Rocha deepwater port.
