Hong Kong Marine Department has announced that the marine construction works to build a barge loading dock will be performed at the former Kai Tak Airport runway.
This development project, which includes some scope of the dredging program, has begun on October 3 and will last for about four months, according to shippingonline.cn.
“The works will be carried out by one grab dredger, two split hopper barges and one derrick barge, and one tug will provide assistance. The number of vessels engaged in the works will change from time to time to suit operational requirements,” the marine department announced.
