Geosyntec Consultants Opens New York Office

Geosyntec Consultants today announces the opening of its first office in New York City at 112 West 34th Street. Geosyntec Associate Philip Reidy, P.E., will be the lead practitioner at the new location.

“Our presence in New York City will provide our clients with enhanced access to water resources practitioners and environmental and geotechnical consultants working on projects throughout the region,” Reidy said.

Geosyntec practitioners currently have multiple projects under way for clients with operations in the city and at a number of locations throughout New York and New Jersey.

Geosyntec projects in the region have addressed issues related to recreational facility infrastructure development, stormwater management, groundwater remediation, municipal solid waste management, subsurface vapor intrusion to indoor air, and the assessment and remediation of impacted sediments.

Members of the Geosyntec team will attend and present technical sessions at the Dredging 2012 conference, set for October 22-25 in San Diego, California.

The specialty forum on dredging and dredge material disposal is expected to draw hundreds of engineers, scientists, and thought leaders from the United States, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

The four-day conference focusing on dredging best practices and innovation from around the world is presented by the United States section of the World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure (PIANC US) and the Coasts, Oceans, Ports, and Rivers Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers (COPRI ASCE).
