France: Port de Rouen Invites Bids for Dredging

Port de Rouen Invites Bids for Dredging.

Grand port maritime de Rouen has invited bidders to submit their offers for the Port of Rouen dredging project.

This project should improve access to the Grand Seaport of Rouen (GPMR), so that vessels of an additional 1m draft will be able to gain access to the Port.

As part of this project, the object of this contract is to achieve:

– Dredging and rock excavation in the navigation channel of the Port of Rouen;

– Piling offshore or grounding of dredged material (by hydraulic and dry);

– Some dredging areas are subject to constraints and special requirements as impacted by sensitive networks (oil and gas);

– Creation of a berth on the Dukes of Albes quay.

The deadline for this tender is December 10, 2012.
