USA: No Money for Pentwater Harbor Dredging

No Money for Pentwater Harbor Dredging

The water depth at the Pentwater channel’s mouth causes major concerns for the Pentwater Harbor Research Committee.

Another thing that bothers the Committee is the fact that currently there is no money for the dredging program in 2013.

Village Manager Jim Miller stated: “This is a big issue for harbors — getting dredged. This year is going to be hard with the lake level low.”

He added that Tom O’Bryan, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers official, will arrive in Pentwater on Thursday to meet with people interested in the dredging issue.

According to ludingtondailynews.com, this meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Pentwater Village Hall.
