Dredging Plan for New Jersey Intracoastal Waterways Introduced

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has introduced a plan for the maintenance dredging program on the New Jersey Intracoastal waterways.

This maintenance dredging by lease of plant under this contract will be performed at various locations along the New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway, Toms River and Wills Hole Thorofare.

The contract may include a base contract and three options.

Base work shall include dredging of the New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway. The plant and equipment to be furnished under this contract includes the lease of a 12-14 inch hydraulic pipeline dredge with operating personnel and attendant Plant; Tugboat with operating personnel and Deck Barge; D-4 dozer or equivalent with operator; Crawler mounted dragline with operator; and Sluice Weir and Steel Drainage Pipes.

Option 1 work shall include dredging of shoals along the New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway.

The plant and equipment to be furnished under this contract includes the lease of a 12-14 inch hydraulic pipeline dredge with operating personnel and attendant Plant; Tugboat with operating personnel and Deck Barge; D-4 dozer or equivalent with operator; Crawler mounted dragline with operator; and Sluice Weir and Steel Drainage Pipes.

Option 2 work shall include dredging of Wills Hole Thorofare.

The plant and equipment to be furnished under this contract includes the lease of a 12-14 inch hydraulic pipeline dredge with operating personnel and attendant Plant; Tugboat with operating personnel and Deck Barge; D-4 dozer or equivalent with operator; Crawler mounted dragline with operator; and Sluice Weir and Steel Drainage Pipes.

Option 3 work shall include dredging of Toms River.

The plant and equipment to be furnished under this contract includes the lease of a 12-14 inch hydraulic pipeline dredge with operating personnel and attendant Plant; and D-4 dozer or equivalent with operator.

The Government-furnished disposal areas available for use under this contract are Shad Island, Area D, Toms River MUA Site and Gull Island Disposal Areas.

Period of Performance

All work and services to be completed as follows:

– Base Contract: On or before 31 August 2013;

– Options 1,2, and 3 on or before 31 December 2013

The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
