Bids Sought for Pussur Channel Dredging

Mongla Port Authority has invited bidders to submit their offers for the dredging program in the Pussur Channel area.

The main works under the contract include dredging of 6 areas in the Pussur Channel harbour.

These areas are:

– Sabur beacon turning ground,

– jetty channel,

– jetty head,

– confluence channel,

– mooring buoy area,

– Base Creek area (a total length of about 13km, approx. volume of 3,511,000 m3) up to design depth.

This project also includes disposal of the dredged spoil in the designated dumping compartment, necessary pre-, post- and interim hydrographic surveys and construction of necessary dikes around the dumping compartment.

The deadline for this tender is May 2, 2013.
