Corps Seeks Contractor for Santa Barbara Harbor Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District, has announced a plan to invite bidders for the Santa Barbara Harbor dredging project.

This development program will consist of dredging and disposal of material from the federal navigation channels in Santa Barbara Harbor, CA, specifically the entrance and approach channels with disposal of material on downcoast beaches.

The estimated cost of this project is between $5 mln and $10 mln, and it will be executed in six cycles of maintenance dredging over a three year period.

Dredging at Santa Barbara Harbor occurs biannually, generally in the late fall and early spring.
