USACE New York Schedules Shrewsbury River Dredging for September

The Shrewsbury River dredging program should take place from September to November this year, according to the Army Corps of Engineers, New York District.

Approximately 54,000 cubic yards of material will be removed by a hydraulic dredger from the Federal Navigation Channel in the Shrewsbury River (turning basin), and placed onto Monmouth Beach, NJ.

The work is estimated to cost between $1 mln and $5 mln, and the bid opening date will be on or about 2 June 2014.

The works on the project are expected to last two months.
