USA: Sutherland Reservoir Dredging to Last Six Months

Sutherland Reservoir Dredging to Last Six Months

People planning to boat or fish at Sutherland Reservoir in the next six months are cautioned to stay away from the channel area at the Gerald Gentleman Station because of a dredging project.

Starting next week, Nebraska Public Power District will conduct dredging operations from Monday through Friday, tentatively through October 30.

Silt in the water naturally builds up as it flows through the channel. The silt needs to be removed to allow water to move into the plant without a blockage.
