Corps Presents Delaware River Dredging Plan

A maintenance dredging project in Marcus Hook and New Castle Ranges of the Delaware River will be undertaken in the coming months.

According to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, dredging will be performed to a depth of 43 feet to 44 feet plus 1 foot allowable over depth limited by a vertical plane through the required depth contour.

The disposal areas available for use under this contract are Pedricktown North, and Killcohook Area Number 1.

The solicitation will be issued on or about 24 June, and the bid opening date is 24 July 2014. All work and services should be completed no later than 31 December 2014.

The total cost of the project will be between $5 mln and $10 mln.
