One Still Missing in the Bosphorus Accident

A Turkish-flag sand carrier sank earlier today after colliding with another sand coaster vessel west of the Bosphorus entrance. 

The accident happened around 2.30 a.m. near Riva, in the Turkish Black sea, when vessel AKEL hit another vessel, the SENGUL K, and sank shortly after the collision.

Two units from the General Directorate of Coastal Safety and Turkish Coast Guards Command were dispatched to the scene.

According to some local media, 11 out of 12 crew members have been rescued while the search operation for the one missing is still underway.
