Works Going Well at Coromandel

The Thames-Coromandel District has just released a snapshot of some of the infrastructure works going around the district in October and November.

In Mercury Bay, the coastal protection wall being built at Brophy’s Beach is going well and will be completed by November.

The Tairua-Pauanui flood protection works, including construction of a bridge extension at Manaia Road Causeway, will be starting in October and are scheduled to be complete in late November. The Regional Council will then begin floodway and stopbank construction which should take around 12 months.

Also, the Tairua Wharf and Boat Ramp enhancement project is one step closer to becoming a reality. The business case for the project has been approved by the Tairua-Pauanui Community Board. The community consultation runs from 2nd October for one month.
