Dredging Corporation of India Inks Deal with Government

Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) Ltd. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of India for the financial year 2016-17.

The paper was signed by Shri Rajive Kumar, the Ministry of Shipping Secretary and Shri Rajesh Tripathi, Chairman and Managing Director of Dredging Corporation of India, in New Delhi.

The MoU broadly consists of the performance evaluation parameters and targets for Dredging Corporation of India Ltd. for the ensuing year, the Press Information Bureau of Government of India (PIB) announced.

This agreement will be reviewed by the Ministry on a regular basis and the performance of the public sector undertaking (PSU) would be evaluated and ratings awarded at the end of the financial year.

The targets agreed in the MoU are in line with the aggressive growth plans of DCI.

According to PIB, DCI has also placed order for an inland cutter suction dredger which will join the fleet very shortly.

This would facilitate the company to take up inland dredging works once again after a long gap.
