The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, has expressed her unhappiness over the slow pace of the Jhelum River dredging program.

The chief minister made these observations earlier this morning while visiting several dredging areas along the river, from Srinagar to Panzinara and Kreshibal.

The engineers engaged in the project, undertaken to prevent future floods, informed her about the status of the silt excavation and the reasons for the slow progress.

She directed the engineers to look into the reasons of the slow progress in achieving the dredging targets.
