Région Bretagne, Service Fonctionnel des Transports, has invited bidders to submit their offers for the Brest Port Development Project – lot M06.

The contract involves the dredging of channels and docks at the French Port of Brest – including a wharf under construction, the filling of the new polder and the associated stocking method to accommodate:

  • dredged sediments (mud-type materials, partly polluted);
  • pre-loading surpluses from work carried out in other areas (construction of a wharf, dyke, consolidation of existing land).

According to the official announcement, the deadline for this tender is May 19 and the project should last no longer than 45 months.

The Port of Brest is on the northern coast of France in the Bretagne (Brittany) region on two hills on either side of the Penfeld River about 220 kilometers northwest of France’s Port of Nantes-Saint Nazaire and about 143 nautical miles south-southwest of the Port of Plymouth in Great Britain.
