Orion Marine Group Announces a Project Award of Approximately $26 Million (USA)

Orion Marine Group, Inc. a leading heavy civil marine contractor serving the infrastructure sector, today announced a project award of approximately $26 million.

Orion Marine Group’s wholly owned subsidiary, F. Miller Construction, LLC. recently received a project award from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to replace the fender system for the Interstate 210 Bridge near Lake Charles, Louisiana. F. Miller Construction’s scope of work includes the demolition of the eight existing dolphin cells and construction of eight new 42 inch diameter dolphin cells.

“This is an important job to replace the bridge protection fender system for the busy I-210 Bridge, which crosses over the Calcasieu Ship Channel, in Lake Charles, Louisiana,” said Elliott Kennedy Orion Marine Group’s Executive Vice President, Gulf Coast. “As with all of our jobs, our goal is to provide a high quality project in a safe and productive manner.”

Onsite construction of the project is expected to commence during the third quarter of 2010 and last approximately 18 months.
