The Chair of WODA is with CEDA for the Next Three Years

During the closing ceremony of  WODCON XIX that took place from 9-12 September 2010 in Beijing, China, Capt. David Padman, Chairman of EADA handed over the reins to the new WODA Chairman, Anders Jensen, President of CEDA (Femern Baelt, Denmark).

The World Organisation of Dredging Associations (WODA) is made up of three sister associations:

* WEDA, the Western Dredging Association, for the Americas

* EADA, the Eastern Dredging Association for Asia and Australia and

* CEDA, the Central Dredging Association for Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

The three sister associations, that together cover the world, share the same aims and values, however they operate autonomously. Click WODA structure to see the composition of WODA.

CEDA, EADA and WEDA take turns organising the dredging community’s single most important event, the triennial World Dredging Congress, WODCON. Following the same pattern, the Chair and the Secretariat of WODA is always with the Association that is organising the forthcoming WODCON. The WODA Environment Commission is now also chaired by CEDA: Polite Laboyrie, Chairman of the CEDA Environment Commission (Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management, the Netherlands) will fill this office until 2013.
