On 17 November, HRM Queen Beatrix paid a working visit to Maasvlakte 2. The Queen allowed experts to tell her about the economic recovery of the port and the construction of the new land reclamation.
The working visit started with an interview with Hans Smits, CEO of the Port of Rotterdam Authority (left) and Ronald Paul, Managing Director of Project Organization Maasvlakte 2 (right). After this, the Queen visited the newly sprayed-on land, where she was told about the construction of the quay for the first container terminal and the construction of the seawall.
