USA: Officials Seek Bidders for Dredging Project

 

Sealed bids for the Loxahatchee River Central Embayment and Southwest Fork Dredging Project will be received by the Jupiter Inlet District at its offices at 400 North Delaware Blvd., Jupiter, Florida 33458 until 2:00 p.m., local time, March 28, 2011, and then at said offices publicly opened and read aloud.

Project work generally consists of hydraulically dredging approximately 8,600 cubic yards (cy) of sediment from the Main Channel within the Loxahatchee River Central Embayment and 3,150 cy from the Southwest Fork of the Loxahatchee River and entrance to Sims Creek, mechanically or hydraulically dredging 160 cy from the South Channel, installing 12 new channel markers, and offloading the existing dredged material management area. All work will occur in the Loxahatchee River area in Palm Beach County, Florida. The Contractor will have one hundred fifty (150) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed to complete the work.
