Government OKs Port of Dover Development (UK)

The Government has granted the consent for the scheme of constructing a second £400 million ferry terminal at the Port of Dover.

The prospect of the project is the port capacity increase and regeneration to part of Dover.

Terminal 2 will account for the single biggest development undertaken by Dover Harbor Board. It will become the second biggest ferry terminal in Britain after Dover’s existing Eastern Docks terminal.

“It is a clear indication of how seriously we take our responsibility to develop the port both as a national asset and as a key part of the local community“, said Director of port development, Mike Krayenbrink.
