CEDA Quality Stamp Granted for First Time (The Netherlands)

CEDA (the Central Dredging Association) is the only independent, international, professional association in Africa, Europe, and the Middle-East whose sole interest is dredging and marine construction. It is an internationally acknowledged authoritative reference point for high quality, unbiased information.

The CEDA Quality Stamp on a document means that it has been reviewed and endorsed by a panel of experts from across CEDA’s diverse membership representing a wide range of expertise, disciplines and nations. Endorsement by CEDA is a guarantee for impartial, state-of-the-art information for academics, industry professionals, regulators, decision-makers and stakeholders within its fields of interest.

“CEDA is delighted to grant for the first time the CEDA Quality stamp to the document ‘Dredging Plant and Equipment’, said Prof. Cees van Rhee (Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands), Chairman of the CEDA Quality Stamp Review Panel. “Produced by the International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC), in their much valued series ‘Facts About’,” Prof. van Rhee continues, “this concise document describes the most commonly used dredging equipment, such as cutter suction dredgers, trailing suction hopper dredgers, backhoes and water injection dredgers, and gives a general impression of which plant is appropriate for a particular location and for various types of soil -– for instance, sand, clay or rock.”
