The Partrac Group has announced Dr. Kevin Black (Technical Director) will be presenting at the fourth International Ports & The Environment Seminar 2012. The event will take place on Thursday 22nd March 2012 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Dr. Black will present on ‘New Data from New Technology’ and will discuss how esturarine and port managers, consultants and regulators use applied mathematical (or numerical) oceanographic models to address a range of sediment management issues and risks, including shoreline reclamation, environmental impact assessment of port engineering operations, dredge planning, surge prediction, siltation prediction and analysis.

The presentation will also explore if end-users can be confident that models are sufficiently accurate to enable them to manage their project risks.
