Malaysia: Rajang River Dredging Progresses Well

According to Borneo Post, the Rajang River dredging project at near Pulau Kerto is expected to be completed by the end of June.

This project began at the end of January, and to date, 55 per cent of the project had been done, five per cent ahead of schedule.

“The riverbed invert levels would be dredged to RL – 5m, and the volume of materials to be dredged is 610 cubic meters. The dredged materials consist mainly of sand and mud,” stated Simon Lau, the company’s executive director.

The project is undertaken by Hock Seng Lee Berhad.
