Nodosa Shipyard has begun the construction of a new Trailing Suction Split Hopper Dredger (TSSHD), with 1500 m3 of capacity.

This new construction, which increases the capacity of the latest dredger delivered by Nodosa in 300 m3 (the vessel “OMVAC DIEZ”, a TSSHD of 1200 m3 of capacity, was delivered in 2011), is the biggest built by the shipyard, and like that, is specially designed for all kinds of works with sand.

This new dredger, which will be classified by Bureau Veritas, is totally intended to the exterior market, and represents the international consolidation of Nodosa in this sector, in which the shipyard shows a great interest.
