The U.S. Commerce Department awarded Ellicott Dredges the prestigious Export Achievement Certificate at the Trade Winds Forum and Business Development Conference in Singapore on May 16th, 2012.

Under Secretary Francisco Sánchez presented the Certificate to Ellicott citing its successful sale of dredges to international markets.

“ Ellicott Dredges is the oldest and largest U.S. manufacturer of dredging equipment, ” said Under Secretary Sánchez. “ Ellicott now sells its Baltimore-made dredges in more than 25 countries, and, as a result, it has increased its workforce by 10 percent. This type of success represents not only the history of manufacturing in this country, but the future, and I am pleased to recognize their efforts with this certificate. ”

Baltimore U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC) Director Bill Burwell said Ellicott is expanding sales in the region and around the world offering dredges in mining, waste water treatment, flood control, and real estate sectors.
