China: Danzhou Land Reclamation Plan Moves Ahead

On May 21, CCCC Water Transportation Consultants Co., Ltd. won the bid for the preliminary design of the artificial island in Danzhou, Hainan Province, with a value of 13.7 million yuan.

Located in the sea area from Baimajing to Paipu in Danzhou, Hainan Province, with a planned reclamation area of some 8 square kilometers and a proposed investment of 30 billion yuan, the island is a key project in Hainan’s western tourism development program in the “twelfth five-year” period.

Consisting of three independent offshore islets, the island, like three flowers in full blossom in the sea, is named Sea Flower Island.

The successful bid will help the company expand its business fields and play a significant role in promoting its production and business operations.
