Belgium: Antwerp, Dalian Port Authorities Ink MoU

Antwerp, Dalian Port Authorities Ink MoU

Antwerp Port Authority has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dalian Port Authority.

In the MoU both parties express the desire to extend their collaboration and to boost trade between the two ports. For this purpose they have undertaken to exchange know-how and experience, in particular in the fields of port construction, port management, container handling, petrochemical products, dry bulk and distribution.

The port of Antwerp and the port of Dalian (Liaoning province, China) have been collaborating for some time now, having signed a “Sister Ports” treaty in October 1999.

The Memorandum was signed in Antwerp Town Hall by Marc Van Peel, Antwerp vice-mayor and port Alderman, and Wang Peng, vice-chairman of Dalian Port Authority.
