India: Paradip Port Berth Project Still Pending

The Noble Group is said to be having second thoughts over construction and operation of a 10-million tonne per annum (mtpa) iron ore berth at the Paradip Port.

EXIM India reports that the Paradip Port Trust officials have expressed concern that the Noble Group has not yet made known whether it would continue with the project or withdraw from it.

They also pointed out that the three-year delay has pushed up the project cost to around Rs 800 crore from the original estimate.
