Saudi Arabia: China Harbour Bags King Abdulaziz Port Contract

China Harbour Bags King Abdulaziz Port Contract

China Harbour has won a contract for the development of King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.

This “design and build contract” involves construction of a second container terminal to the west of the existing port complex.

The new container terminal will have a 600-metre-long quay wall with an alongside depth of 16 metres and 450,000 square metres of onshore facilities.

King Abdul Aziz Port is the main gateway through which cargoes from all over the world enter the Eastern and Central Provinces of the Kingdom.

It is strategically placed to service the requirements of the oil industry, the continuous development of Riyadh, the capital, and the major provincial cities in the Eastern and Central Provinces.
