UK: Kent to Get New Rock Barrier

Kent to Get New Rock Barrier

Work on the Kent sea defence project will get underway this month.

According to BBC, this project will reduce the risk of flooding to more than 1,500 homes and businesses in this area.

As part of the scheme for Deal, a new 200m rock barrier will be created north of the Sandown Castle, and the rock for this work will arrive by barge from Norway on 12 September.

The project is expected to be completed by Christmas, BBC reports.
