Five Island Lake Dredging Hits Pause (USA)

The Five Island Lake dredging project has hit the winter pause. The dredger has been brought to shore, the discharge pipe has been disconnected, everything is “winterized.” According to the City Administrator John Bird, 2012 was not a very productive season for the Five Island Lake dredging program.

The Five Island Lake dredging project has hit the winter pause.

The dredger has been brought to shore, the discharge pipe has been disconnected, everything is “winterized.”

According to the City Administrator John Bird, 2012 was not a very productive season for the Five Island Lake dredging program.

“Without Tim Sidles out there to repair what we had, the dredger probably would never have been in the water. The dredger was in bad, bad shape; wiring, the mechanics, there were no safety guards on anything ,” stated Councilman Bill Burdick.
