The Adani Hazira Container Terminal (AHCT) has announced that it received Customs notification on October 31, reports eximin.net.
Mr Vasant Murthy, CEO – Container Ports and Logistics for Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd, said regarding this milestone: “ Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd is committed to developing and providing world class terminal infrastructure to support our customers in Gujarat, North and West India. With this regulatory approval on hand, we are proud to dedicate this facility as a gateway for export-import trade in India. We will be further expanding the operating envelope at our facility in the coming months, providing a compelling alternative to successful and seamless transportation of containerised cargo.”
AHCT is strategically located at a distance of about 120 nautical miles north of JNPT (Nhava Sheva) and will serve as the gateway port for the rich and immediate hinterland comprising South Gujarat, North Maharashtra and Central India.
