The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) will soon file a case against two top officials of Bangladesh Dredging and Construction Company Limited on charge of misappropriating around Tk 140 million from a private bank.

The Commission on Thursday decided to file the case against managing director of Bangladesh Dredging and Construction Company Limited M Nazrul Islam and director Selina Islam.

During the inquiry of the graft watchdog, it was found that the two officials of the company misappropriated around Tk 140 million in the name of taking loan from the Federation Bhaban Branch of IFIC Bank, Motijheel, in the city.

ACC deputy director Khan M Mizanul Islam, also investigation officer, will file the case next week against them with Motijheel police station, ACC Public Relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.

He said the case will be lodged under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947.
