DIO Presents Plymouth Harbour Development Plans

Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) has unveiled a plan for the development project at the Plymouth area.

This project includes the design and construction of a new fuel jetty and approach bridge, mooring dolphins, dredging at the berth pocket, fuel pipelines and manifold for issue and receipt of oil fuels from Thanckes Oil Fuel Depot by vessels up to 50,000 tons displacement.

The works also include associated provision of welfare facilities, power supply, CCTV communications, water supply, fenders and mooring equipment, capital dredging of berth pocket and demolition of existing jetty upon completion.

The total value of this project is between £25,000,000 and £35,000,000.

The project period is 30 months from the date of contract award, and the deadline for this tender is January 15, 2013.
