An update on the major beach fill project being conducted in Avalon has been announced.
The dredger “Charleston” owned and operated by Norfolk Dredging is currently moving up the New Jersey coastline and and is located near Hereford Inlet between North Wildwood and Stone Harbor.
The dredger is expected to arrive in Townsend’s Inlet off of Avalon in the next 48 hours. It is likely that the beach fill project will begin sometime between December 26th-28th.
