An update on the major beach fill project being con­ducted in Avalon has been announced.

The dredger “Charleston” owned and oper­ated by Nor­folk Dredg­ing is cur­rently mov­ing up the New Jer­sey coast­line and and is located near Here­ford Inlet between North Wild­wood and Stone Har­bor.

The dredger is expected to arrive in Townsend’s Inlet off of Avalon in the next 48 hours. It is likely that the beach fill project will begin some­time between Decem­ber 26th-28th.
