China: Dongtan Dredging Contract Awarded to CCCC Shanghai

Recently, CCCC Shanghai Dredging Co., Ltd. has won the bid for Section III of Phase 1 of the dredging project in Dongtan, Nanhui District, Shanghai, with a contract value of 951 million yuan and a construction period of 730 days.

Located in Meimaosha waters in the south of the dredging zone outside the Shanghai Pudong International Airport, with a total investment of some 3.774 billion yuan, the project includes three sections and is divided into the south and north dredging zones by the Dazhi River. Located in the south zone, with a dredging area of 66,000 mu, Section III undertaken by the company has a dike measuring some 15.8 kilometers.

The project has laid a solid foundation for increasing Shanghai’s land reserves, ensuring the dynamic equilibrium of total land and promoting the sustainable economic development of Shanghai.
