The Swinomish Channel dredging project is nearing its completion, according to threesheetsnw.com.
John Pell, project manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, stated that the contractor, Tacoma-based American Construction Co., has dredged around 220,000 cubic yards of material from the channel so far.
Pell also added that after the dredging program is wrapped up, the Army Corps will conduct a post-dredge survey and publish full charts of the channel afterward.
