Fiji: Minister Unveils Rakiraki River Dredging Plan

Colonel Samuela Saumatua, the Minister for Local Government, Urban Development, Housing and Environment, said that the river running through Rakiraki town will be the next to be dredged.

The dredging plans are already in place for the rivers in Lautoka and Ba, reports fijivillage.com.

These dredging programs were revealed by Saumatua while he was announcing the drainage works to be undertaken around parts of Fiji to improve resilience against disasters like floods.
