The Kansas Water Office (KWO) is proposing to dredge John Redmond Reservoir to restore water supply lost to sedimentation.

KWO is initiating the scoping process to identify community concerns and local issues that should be addressed in the Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the dredging project proposal.

A public scoping meeting will be held February 5, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at the Coffey County Courthouse, 110 S. 6th Street in Burlington, KS, to receive oral and written comments on environmental concerns which should be addressed in the EIS dredging proposal.

KWO will be conducting several public meetings in 2013 to receive feedback on alternatives and impacts from the proposed dredging project.
