Webinars (online seminars) which allow attendees to watch a live feed from their own computers via the Internet are excellent and convenient ways to learn from and engage with experts and peers without travel.
CEDA is now developing a programme of webinars on a range of timely subjects relating to dredging and the construction and maintenance of water-based infrastructure with internationally renowned experts as presenters.
The first webinar on underwater sound is scheduled for 23 or 24 April 2013, 2:00 pm CET (date is to be confirmed).
It will be presented by Dr. Frank Thomsen, senior marine scientist at DHI, Denmark, Chair of the WODA Expert Group on underwater sound and CEDA representative on the EU Marine Strategy Directive Technical Sub-group Underwater Noise.
